Creekside Princess: A Rush for Gold

Do you remember what it was like for you on your first week of College/University? And do you remember what it was like watching the newbie girls from the rather safe vantage point of second, third and senior year? Ah. It’s Gabrielle’s turn now.

Stella and Gaby exchanged a glance. Stella gave the slightest nod, a sneaky suggestion of what the hell, let’s do it. Gaby had her reservations though. She wanted to go home and she was tired. Besides, she didn’t consider the dress she was wearing as the best attire to be out on a random outing in. Decisions, decisions! There was a loud honk from the parking lot and the bus started to pull away slowly.

James noticed her looking. “Forget the bus,” he said, smiling. “We have a car. We’ll go to Westlands, have a drink, then – whatever. Come on guys, what do you say?” the bus was at the main gate as he said this.

“Come on Gaby,” Stella said. “One drink, what’s the harm?” whatever Kevin had been telling her was clearly working. Read the rest.

And in other news, Poetic Wednesday is challenging you. See The Day Yet To Come.

The Divas are ruling and this week, she is Lynda Nyangweso.

And for a little book time, have a look at How to be a Lady by Uche Onyebadi.
